I’m just going to assume those 4 dollar words are real and you aren’t just misspelling normal words to fuck with us.
Non surjective free magma? What about the doblastic amortized basalt?

Adobe basically invented the SaaS model. It’s not really practical to bootleg most Adobe products anymore either so most people break down and just pay the million dollar a year subscription fee so they can keep using it.
Communism is incompatible with private property or classes which is why no matter how many states write “communism” on the tin, what they actually put in it is just fascist enforced state capitalism.
China is not more communist or even socialist than the USA. A strong ruling class loves fascism and hates socialism. They are actively hostile to communism.
China is state capitalism anyway. There isn’t much Communist about them. The “party” is their 1% permanent ruling class.
I’m curious where you are that a business line doesn’t cost more than a residential one because in my area it’s three times as much. I am fortunate enough that I get symmetrical gigabit for $90 a month and although they don’t promise static IP my IP has not changed in a while.
If I wanted to get a real static IP I would have to upgrade to a business line It would cost $280 a month.
The series has a very satisfying conclusion.
It’s one of the coolest fucking things we watched this last year.
My hourly rate for tutoring is actually about 50% higher than my hourly rate for on call support which is about 100% higher than my hourly rate for work.
I’m trying to afford groceries here, It’s not 90 days payable It’s pay-per-play. I’m tired of trying to finance an inhaler while the boss’s favorite child can’t decide on a font color and thinks that 5 minute phone calls at 7:30 on a friday are free.
Am the grammar an spelling part of joke?
The luddites were a labor movement. They fought for the rights of skilled workers to make a living.
Somehow you have fallen for the myth that machines make art.
A friend of mine won the top of the line omen model in a gaming tournament. We went through three of them before we just accepted the thing doesn’t fucking work for shit and demoted it to a Super Gengear 64 Station boy advance and stuffed it under the TV.
It really is so much easier to destroy than it is to build.
And I agree with you, A little bit of vandalism goes a long way to mucking things up.
If you maintain public goods for the good of the public you have a lot less crime. It’s precisely because there is such extreme wealth that is not paying to maintain the public goods that we have the crime.
The people destroying the stuff are doing that because they have been robbed of a place in society and their futures have been foreclosed to them.
Building hostile anti-human infrastructure, housing that costs 60 hours a week to live in, and unaffordable food that the government subsidizes to make MORE expensive are all not so subtle ways to tell these people that society does not value them.
Prices only go up. If a price is allowed to fall then the gravy train stops and the owner class gets really salty.
My bosses tried to ask me if I knew anyone the could hire for a full time position at a hospital. I ask for more details and eventually they relent because they aren’t having any luck on indeed/craigslist/temp recruiter.
It’s a 24 hour on call position for ‘up to’ $55,000 to be the sole IT staff for a 100 bed hospital in upstate NY.
I literally laughed at them, but they seem to insist they are gonna find someone to take the job.
I actually think the job isn’t even legal as described.
It depends on what kind of RAM you’re getting.
You could get Dell R720 with two processors and 128 gigs of RAM for $500 right now on eBay, but it’s going to be several generations old.
I’m not saying that the model is taking up astronomical amounts of space, but it doesn’t have to store movies or even high resolution images. It is also not being expected to know every reference, just the most popular ones.
I have 120tb storage server in the basement. So the footprint of this learning model is not particularly massive by comparison, but It does contain this specific whole joker image. It’s not something that could have been generated without the original to draw from.
In order to build a bigger model they would need not necessarily just more storage but actually a new way of having more and faster RAM connected to lower latency storage. LLMs are the kinds of software that become hard to subdivide to be distributed across purpose-built arrays of hardware.
Chat GPT it’s over 500 gigs of training data plus over 300 gigs of RAM, and Sam Altman has been quite adamant about how another order of magnitude worth of storage capacity is needed in order to advance the tech.
I’m not convinced that these are compressed much at all. I would bet this image in its entirety is actually stored in there someplace albeit in an exploded format.
What on earth is a company if not management and the processes it uses?
In other words, If they have bad management and they lack proper processes to safeguard client data, are they not a bad company?!
Because we are a sick people addicted to advertising in all sectors of our lives.
We can’t limit our supply chain for strategic resources to preserve an incentive to defend an ally. That’s nutty.
Chips are the kind of thing where there just aren’t enough of them being made. If we come up with a new way to produce more of them cheaply, that won’t suddenly flood the market with cheap chips It will just marginally bring down the price of chips they compete with.
There’s also a zero sum thing going on here, It’s not just that we need chips We need to make sure the China doesn’t get them and that strategic goal remains regardless of whether or not we start producing them elsewhere too.
You are awesome.
Lemmy is better for you being here. Thanks for the reading material!
