It’s all but impossible to purchase an mp3 anymore. Anywhere you can theoretically buy music does everything it can to lock you in to their ecosystem and prevent you from accessing your music outside of it.

First of all, Lemmy has a lot of users for whom English is a second language. So maybe don’t be a jackass about correcting grammar.
Secondly, in case you happen to be in that group of people ‘largest media company’ in this context applies to their reach, and not to their actual size. They are ‘large’ because they have a large audience, generate a lot of revenue, and are worth a lot of money. LMG also comprises 10 different YouTube channels with maybe 10 billion views between them.
I fail to see how it’s a strawman. Either you’re ok with companies taking advantage of people because they’re not very intelligent or you’re not.
A lot of people are dumb. Half the world’s population has a below average intelligence.
Why should we allow companies to victimize dumb people? Why is that ok to you?
Notably, they had to actually show up at the house before the cops took any action.
An overt action can be pretty simple, but it does have to happen.
No but you still gotta prove it. That and freedom of speech is a thing.
I can say I plan to go and do any old crime, I can talk about it with my friends who might give me ideas. They might even volunteer to help.
Until someone actually does something, all we’re doing is talking. We’re protected by the first amendment, and it would be damn near impossible to prove we actually intended to do anything.
Unless we’re threatening elected officials. They tend to embed themselves, push for the plot, and still wait until they make an attempt to act on the conspiracy that they’re kind of responsible for.
Conspiracy to blank requires at least one overt action, demonstrating that you intend to fulfill your commitment to blank.
We could talk about doing blank all day, make plans to blank. Draw up little blank maps and assign blank duties. Until someone actually does something, it’s all just talk.
No no if you press F you’ll feed them!
Jesus it’s robotics it’s not a video game.
Doubt is M00.
It was used on Reddit, but not widely. Mostly by insufferable ‘enlightened centrists’ who didn’t want to engage in good faith argument.
It’s now a blanket term for “anyone left l politically left of me” used by insufferable liberals who don’t want to admit that trying to curry votes from Republicans lost them the election.
For a time it was being used to describe actual Chinese and Soviet sympathisers, but given how quiet that particular group has been after the election, I suspect it was interchangable with state sponsored bot accounts.
All alphabetical antecedents are appropriate and appreciated.
You know, I could do without the letter we’re referring to here. Plenty of other vowels to suit my needs.
You’re describing a few decades out of almost a thousand years of feudalism, in Europe specifically, and it wasn’t ever universally true.
A lot of things contributed to that. Not the least of which is the difference between what we’d consider a day off and what they’d consider a day off. Not to mention how they paid taxes and what was actually required of the medieval peasant.
Taxes could be paid in labor or produce. The guys doing the manual labor building a castle were likely to be paying taxes. They did that for up to a third of the year. The rest of the year was theirs to do with as they pleased, and the majority of that time would have been spent growing, gathering, hunting, or maintaining. Guild artisans had the closest thing to jobs that we’d think of them. Coopers made barrels, ropers roped. You had masons and blacksmiths and carpenters sure. Most people were growing and raising food, and maintaining their home. A day off was likely spent doing those things. They had so many partially because that time was needed intermittently.
They worked harder than we do. Every part of their life was harder, required more energy, and took more time.
Taking a day off to relax would have been exceedingly rare and probably maddeningly boring. Though they did party hard.
Just banks and federal employees.
You will of course be required to be in the office that day.
On the inverse I’ve found it to be quite bad at that. I can generally count on the AI answer to be wrong, fundamentally.
Might depend on your industry. It’s garbage at g code.
My money is still on Paul Le Roux.
It is. Fat and sugar are not the same thing. Hot pockets contain about 25 grams of fat and 10 grams of sugar. Depending on the product. The label does not indicate any HFCS but the effect described above would be achieved with any sugar and most sugar substitutes.
The majority of calories from hot pockets are from empty carbs, and that is what’s causing you to feel hungry after eating them. 72g of carbs to 43g of combined fat and protein, and only 2g of fiber.
“MORE!”
believe it or not also Kylo Ren
So we’ve been down that road. There are company computers available for that purpose, and training has been provided. It’s a joke we tell each other around here that the only training we get is on the app.
For the handful of folks who are legally prohibited from having a smart phone, the state has requirements in place that they be notified of any schedule changes in advance, they’re often the first to know.
The CEO frequently holds little meetings and fields questions, that’s the next route.
I don’t know what they were sold or why they’re so insistent that we download the app, but their feverish insistence that we download it sure makes me suspicious.
Almost certainly. If the guy who was making yandere simulator was tasked with a sprinkler app, it wouldn’t be much worse than it currently is.
I don’t know shit about fuck when it comes to programming, but I know bad programming when I see it.
I have no issue sailing the seas, if I can’t buy it an own it, then I don’t see the problem in downloading it.
My mother hates Spotify and just wants to own her music and listen to like the 100 or so songs she likes, but absolutely cannot figure out how to buy them. She’s not really technical and wouldn’t pirate if she were.
