I’m about 6 years completely Amazon-free. A key component of the switch was realizing a lot of the random stuff I’d buy (mostly cycling equipment) is cheaper on eBay with faster shipping. The irony is that the seller is likely the same one on Amazon and the items would be delivered by Amazon Fulfillment Services.
I deactivated Facebook proper years ago but still have Messenger active due to one group chat and the ability to contact many people I don’t have other contact info for. I don’t install it on my phone or access it on my desktop- only have it on my old iPad. Check it maybe once or twice a month.
If I ever get a new iPad, I’m probably going to cut it off for good.
The bots were always there, the bot-to-human ratio is just much higher now
It used to be great for gaming news updates. Back when the feed would just be who the user chose to follow. Sure, the big stuff would make it to Facebook eventually but I felt it was a better product for breaking news.

Yup, which is what they want.
Same here. I’m on Connect for now, which is decent, but checking if Sync is ready every day haha
Another streaming service that started around the same time as Netflix’s. More focused on TV shows and now owned by Disney.
