I mean, it gave me exactly what I asked for. The only further research was to actually read the item description to verify that but I could have blindly accepted it and received what I was looking for.

Yea. It was reading the contents of the item description I think. In this instance I was looking for an item with specific dimensions and just searching those didn’t work because Amazon sellers are ass at naming shit and it returned a load of crap. but when I put them in their AI thing it pulled several matches right away.
Eh…I got it to find a product that met the specs I was looking for on Amazon when no other search worked. It’s certainly a last resort but it worked. Idk why whenever I’m looking to buy anything lately somehow the only criteria I care about are never documented properly…
Is it a Dell? I’ve had all kinds of goofy problems like that with Dell hardware. The old ass port replicator my job gave me in 2014 can run 3 screens + laptop flawlessly but every one I’ve received since then can only do 2 screens or 3 screens and no laptop. It’s stupid.
I don’t fuck with AI chat bots but I got a he’ll of a lot less lonely when I stopped giving a fuck if I had a girlfriend or not. Giving people alternatives to the toxic dating culture of today may not be such a bad thing.
I don’t care about the article. I’m asking you because you’ve stated your opinion that new reddit and I literally cannot understand it even when I try looking from other perspectives. There is nothing I can see that is better about new reddit. I don’t mean that to be confrontational towards you or to say you are wrong in it. I just would like to understand because it seems more and more things are going towards similar designs and I hate it.
New Reddit is only marginally better on mobile than on desktop. Old Reddit still blows it out of the water. 2 posts per page vs. 8 when I just checked. Not to mention new Reddit is just a lot slower in general and mixes links to other posts into the comments of the one you’re looking at.
How can you prefer this:
over this:
Yea, I used old.reddit.com even on my phone and it was fine. Their new design was fucking awful the last time I saw it. On top of that it was slow as shit. You spend more time looking at that fucking stupid spinning logo than you do seeing content.
Nah, I want a car with the bare minimum of electronic shit to break. If I could just buy a new copy of my 2012 civic I would do that. I can fix just about anything on that car myself and it’s not phoning home to tell the manufacturer and who knows who else my personal info.
Don’t test drive unless you have the money to buy, lol.
Don’t worry I would never do anything to intentionally give Elon Musk money.
No way bro, single pedal driving is amazing.
What’s amazing about it? Seems intuitive unintuitive as hell but I’ve never actually experienced it personally. How do you control how fast you stop or just coast? What if the electronics fail? My car the brakes are mechanically connected to the pedal, if the power brakes go out I can still brake without them (although it is much more difficult).
edit: that was supposed to say UNintuitive
The issue at hand is body autonomy. Circumcision falls perfectly in line with that and it’s an experience men have that may give them some insight into how women are feeling. Why not tackle them at once (along with anything else that comes up regarding that issue). Making people stand in line to wait for everyone to get on board with their particular grievance is hardly productive.
I accidentally switched to it and it dropped all my non-MS mailboxes. Then when I immediately switched back it had the gall to ask me why.
Reminds me of my last job where I had to build a ridiculously complex excel spreadsheet that I copied a bunch of reports into to do scheduling because someone decided I didn’t need access to the actual data…
Agreed. They switched us to teams for our softphone and the caller ID doesn’t even show me the number that called half the time. I just get a generic location which is worthless to me.
You truly believe someone thought that you would just throw away an entire dump truck when the battery died?
I know how it works. I was making a joke by applying the concept of disposable e-waste junk to a massive dump truck.
You just toss it when the battery dies and get a new one.
That UI is dogshit. Lemmy is a link aggregator and you’re saying it should show 2 links on the screen at a time? New Reddit is shit for the same reason.
