That got me very confused as I never had that happening on my Reddit feed.
Same for me, and I never had trouble finding new content. Discovering subreddits (and communities) through word-of-mouth worked perfectly fine.
Also, unlike Reddit, Lemmy has a community browser.
It’s why I’ve gone back to reading an old school newspaper. The format naturally limits the amount of bad news they can fit in a day, and it has regular sections on art, culture, philosophy, nature etc.
Yeah, it feels like everyday there’s a new post asking “HEY GUYS SHOULDNT WE ACTUALLY FEDERATE WITH THREADS?”.
Also Fedilab, which also supports other platforms like Mastodon.
Friendica is also a good way to follow Mastodon and Twitter accounts, so you combine that.
By not installing it.
