It would need to physically slap you through the screen to be worse than it already is. How is anyone still using it? inertia? there’s literally no way anyone started using it after the subscription was added right?
Youtube keeps trying to add friction but it’s still better for most people as a direct result because it makes the content worse without youtube specific plugins. I can’t imagine what needing a vpn would look like because it’s never been a good experience whenever I’ve tried in the past, I’m just lucky I don’t really need one I guess.

The biggest problem I have with peertube besides videos buffering or simply not loading at all is the fact creators just cross post their youtube content which is a worse experience than just watching on youtube with sponsor block.
