I saw George W. Bush at a grocery store in Kennebunkport yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
But “was killed” is literally a passive construction
Honestly I’m probably just going to keep mining the 60s-00s for music like I always have. Now that I have a job and less time to find music I’ll probably never run out lol
Asteroids are basically piles of rock, it’s not like we’re going to be destroying lush ecosystems.
I had the exact same thing happen to me once, except I didn’t get an ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE warning. It just listed a bunch of packages like it always did, except this time it was listing packages it was about to remove, not packages that could be upgraded like it usually does. That was 8 years ago, so maybe they added the warning some time after that? But by that point I’d already dealt with enough issues that I just lost all motivation to use Linux as a desktop anymore. It’s just always something.
I’ve been designing CPUs and writing machine code and assembly for the last month and it’s been a blast.
Can we please not bring this type of reply over from Reddit?
This is horseshit. Horseshit, horseshit, horseshit. And for those of you who don’t know what that means, it’s the shit that comes from a horse!
There was a Reddit post a while back where they confirmed the OP was part of an A/B test to disable logging in to old.reddit.com on mobile. Not a great sign.

Thanks, I appreciate that. My cert is expiring in a few weeks, maybe I’ll take another crack at it.
Honestly I’ve sunk so much time into this that I never want to think about it again if I can just run a shell script once every 3 months haha. I never understood the process too well.
That’s the easy part, the hard part was getting the acme-dns authentication to work since you can’t use the regular automated update with a wildcard certificate.
I just straight up gave up trying to automate renewing my wildcard certificate from Letsencrypt after who knows how many weekends. Typing a single command won’t kill me lol
